neurofeedback
An Intervention to Aid in Healing x Recovery
I chose to offer neurofeedback after learning about its efficacy with individuals who have a substance use disorder. As a counselor, I want individuals to get well, and positively move forward with their lives. Neurofeedback can be used separate from counseling, although it is also helpful when combined with traditional talk therapy. I provide a free consultation to all individuals interested in neurofeedback. Contact me today to learn more.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the sensors put anything into my brain?
No. The sensors are reading your brain waves, which are transmitted to computer software in real time. The program (or protocol) relays feedback through auditory and visual means.
What does neurofeedback training help with?
Individuals engage in neurofeedback training for diagnoses such as ADHD, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, stress reduction, etc. I can help individuals through neurofeedback training with most mental health related issues. Some issues, however, are outside of my scope of practice (i.e., seizure disorders).
How much does it cost?
Neurofeedback is an investment and commitment. Most people will notice an improvement in symptom reduction by engaging in 20 to 40 consecutive training sessions. I offer neurofeedback specials and packages to help lower the overall cost for clients. Neurofeedback is not currently covered by most insurance companies. Call your insurance to find out whether it is covered.
Who is neurofeedback for?
Neurofeedback training is helpful as part of a comprehensive overall treatment for many conditions. Neurofeedback training requires a person to sit still and comfortable for up to one hour. It is always best to check with your primary care physician and other specialists before engaging in neurofeedback.
How often and how long are sessions?
Most neurofeedback training sessions are between 30 to 40 minutes (10 minutes to place the sensors, and 15 to 20 minutes of training). It is recommended to engage in training sessions 1 to 3 times per week. If you will miss a week, we can make arrangements to get additional trainings in before and after you return to prevent regression.
