about

Monique has a Christian worldview. That means her personal values are aligned with her faith. Does this mean she only accepts clients who share the same values? No. She accepts clients who seek her out because of her experience, skills, and abilities. She has provided competent, compassionate, ethical, and effective care to people from many walks of life.

Specialties and Theoretical Orientation
Monique works with individuals, couples, families, and groups entering treatment for most mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. She has additional training and enjoys working with people who have a substance use disorder (addiction), couples and families, and marginalized populations. She uses a broad range of interventions, including spiritual integration upon request, tailored to meet the needs of each client. She utilizes poetry, art, psychodrama, and other expressive interventions in the treatment of many diagnoses. Monique uses a blend of theoretical orientations, incorporating elements from person-centered, gestalt, and internal family system theories. She has completed The Cortina Method Practitioner training.
